Upcoming movies to watch before 2022 ends

 Wondering what to watch? The year may be drawing to a close, but there is still a lot to look forward to for the final months of 2022 with some exciting new movies coming in theaters or on streaming. From Marvel and DC superheros to romantic comedies, even sci-fiction movies can be found. So, grab your popcorn and let's waste no time in seeing what's coming up .

BLACK ADAM

Starting with DC's newest movie BLACK ADAM in which Dwayne Johnson plays the antihero and comic book enemy of Shazam in a solo movie. Black Adam is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (the director of Orphan, House of wax, the shallows) and Liam Neeson (The director of Non-stop, Run all night, The Commuter). It will be in theaters on Oct.21

HOCUS POCUS 2

And since it's Halloween season, HOCUS POCUS 2 returns streaming on Disney Plus.Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kthy Najimy reunite for the highly anticipated Disney+ movie that brings back the delightfully wicked Sanderson sisters for more comedic chaos.

BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER

The real life death of formar star Chadwick Boseman has resulted in the elevation of former supporting actors: Letitia Wright,Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira and Riri Williams who must now defend their nation from a new threat in the form of the underwater nation of Talocan and their ruler. BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER premieres in November.

FALLING FOR CHRISTMAS

Lindsay Lohan is finally returning to act in the Netflix's new holiday movie FALLING FOR CHRISTMAS.Lohan plays a spoiled hotel heiress who wakes up with amnesia after a skiing accident.Thankfully, a lodge owner played by Glee alum Chord Overstreet is there for her as she tries to piece her memories back together. The movie will comeup as an early holiday present streaming on Netflix on Nov. 10 

THE MENU 

THE MENU is a blackly comic horror about a young couple traveling to a remote island to eat at the exclusive restaurant of a frighteningly intense chef, played by Ralph Fiennes.Once the hand-picked diners are at chef's mercy, things take a dark turn. Will be in theaters in Nov. 18

EMPIRE OF LIGHT

 Sam Mendes (director of 1917) returns this December with EMPIRE OF LIGHT,  a romantic drama starring Olivia Colman and Micheal Ward. The film will follow the story of a couple on the south coast of England in the 1980 who form a powerful bond over a mutual love of cinema. It will be released in theaters in Dec. 9

AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER 

The new avatar, AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER tells the story of the Sully family of Jake and Neytiri, the troubles that follows them and the battles they fight to stay alive . Directed by James Cameron , the AVATAR sequels returns with sweeping visuals in theaters in Dec.16 

PUSS IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISH 

Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek reprises their roles from the first film voicing the main characters in the sequel to PUSS IN BOOTS(2011).   The 3D animated comedy adventure film PUSS IN BOOTS:THE LAST WISH is set to be released on Dec.21
